			The tense of the Greek word 'sosomenois' in 1 Cor. 1:18 is 'present participle' and it can mean "being saved". But this does cause theological issues. We can understand that Mary is "the mother of God", but while this helps to say Jesus is God, it can exalt Mary to a unbiblical position. So to, "being saved" opens a box to a salvation which is works based.
