'''Minuscule 416''' (in the [[Biblical manuscript#Gregory-Aland|Gregory-Aland]] numbering), ε 422 (in the [[Biblical manuscript#Von Soded|Soden]] numbering), is a [[Greek language|Greek]] [[Lower case|minuscule]] [[manuscript]] of the [[New Testament]], on parchment. [[Paleography|Paleographically]] it had been assigned to the 14th century.[1]

== Description ==

The codex contains the text of the four [[Gospel]]s on 153 parchment leaves (19.5 cm by 15 cm) with [[Lacuna (manuscript)|lacunae]] (Matthew 1:1-25:36; 26:17-27:17; 27:33-Mark 2:25; John 18:8-21:25). Written in one column per page, in 22 lines per page.[1] Very roughly written.[2] It containstables of κεφαλαια, Ammonian Sections, [[Eusebian Canons]], subscriptions, [[Synaxarion]], [[Menologion]], and pictures;[3]
κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, and lectionary equipment were added by a later hand.[2]

Text of [[Jesus and the woman taken in adultery|John 7:53-8:11]] is omitted.[3]

== History ==

Wiedmann and J. G. J. Braun collated portions of the manuscript for [[Johannes Martin Augustinus Scholz|Scholz]] (1794-1852).[2] The manuscript was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by Scholz.[4]

The manuscript is currently housed at the [[Biblioteca Marciana]] (Gr. I. 24) in [[Venice]].[1]
