1 Then scribes and Pharisees, who were from Jerusalem, came to Jesus, saying,

2 "Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread."
1 And Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came to Him to show Him the buildings of the temple.
3 But He answered and said to them, "Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
2 And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, there shall not be one stone left here on another, that shall not be thrown down."
4 For God commanded, saying, 'Honor your father and mother,' and, 'He who curses father or mother, let him die the death.'
3 And as He sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the world?"
5 But you say, 'Whoever says to his father or his mother, "It is a gift, by whatever you might have profited by me,"
4 And Jesus answered and said to them, "Take heed that no man deceives you.
6 and he shall be free to not honor his father or his mother.' Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.
5 For many shall come in My name, saying, 'I am Christ,' and shall deceive many.
7 You hypocrites. Isaiah did well when he prophesied about you, saying:
6 And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled. For all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
8 'This people draws near to Me with their mouth, and honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in various places.
9 But in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'"
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
10 And He called the multitude and said to them, "Hear and understand:
9 "Then they shall deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you, and you shall be hated by all nations for My name's sake.
11 it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."
10 And then many shall stumble, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended after they heard this saying?"
11 And many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many.
13 But He answered and said, "Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted shall be uprooted.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold.
14 Leave them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
13 But he who endures to the end, the same shall be saved.
15 Then Peter answered and said to Him, "Declare this parable to us."
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end shall come."
16 And Jesus said, "Are you also still without understanding?
15 "Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand),
17 Do you not yet understand that whatever enters in at the mouth goes into the belly and is cast out into the latrine?
16 then let those who are in Judea flee into the mountains.
18 But those things that proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and they defile the man.
17 Let him who is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
18 Do not let him who is in the field return back to take his clothes.
20 These are the things that defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man."
19 And woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse children in those days!
21 Then Jesus went from there and departed into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
20 But pray that your flight is not in the winter or on the Sabbath day.
22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same region and cried to Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David. My daughter is grievously vexed with a demon."
21 For then there shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
23 But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and implored Him, saying, "Send her away, for she cries after us."
22 And except those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
24 But He answered and said, "I was not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
23 "Then if any man says to you, 'Behold, here is Christ,' or 'There,' do not believe it.
25 Then she came and worshipped Him, saying, "Lord, help me."
24 For false christs and false prophets shall arise and shall show great signs and wonders, to such a degree that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
26 But He answered and said, "It is not proper to take the children's bread and to cast it to dogs."
25 Behold, I have told you before.
27 And she said, "True, Lord, yet the dogs eat of the crumbs that fall from their masters' table."
26 "Therefore if they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the desert,' do not go forth, or 'Behold, He is in the secret chambers,' do not believe it.
28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great is your faith. May it be to you even as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
27 For as the lightning comes out of the east and shines even to the west, so also shall be the coming of the Son of Man.
29 And Jesus departed from there and came near to the Sea of Galilee, and went up on a mountain and sat down there.
28 For wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
30 And great multitudes came to Him, having with them those who were lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others, and laid them down at Jesus' feet, and He healed them,
29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
31 to such a degree that the multitude wondered when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.
30 And then the sign of the Son of Man shall appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
32 Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint on the way."
31 And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
33 And His disciples said to Him, "From where should we get so much bread in the wilderness as to fill so great a multitude?"
32 "Now learn a parable from the fig tree: When its branch is yet tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
34 And Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven, and a few little fish."
33 So you, likewise, when you see all these things, know that it is near—even at the doors.
35 And He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
34 Truly I say to you, this generation shall not pass until all these things are fulfilled.
36 And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, and broke them, and gave to His disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.
37 And they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven baskets full of the broken food that was left.
36 "But of that day and hour no man knows, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
38 And those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
37 But as the days of Noah were, so also shall be the coming of the Son of Man.
39 And He sent away the multitude, and got into the ship, and came into the region of Magdala.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also shall be the coming of the Son of Man.
40 Then two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken and the other left.
42 Watch, therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord will come.
43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at such an hour as you do not think.
45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant whom his lord, when he comes, shall find so doing.
47 Truly, I say to you that he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My lord delays his coming,'
49 and begins to strike his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,
50 the lord of that servant shall come on a day when he does not look for him and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 and shall cut him in pieces and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
