Minuscule 291 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), ε 377 (Soden), is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament, on parchment. Paleographically it had been assigned to the 13th century.[1]

Description
The codex contains a complete text of the four Gospels on 290 parchment leaves (18.5 cm by 13.4 cm). Written in one column per page, in 20 lines per page.[1] Ornamented with silver. It contains Prolegomena, tables of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, incipits, αναγνωσεις, and Synaxarion.[2] The Ammonian Sections and the Eusebian Canons absent.
Text
The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Aland placed it in Category V.[3]
It is close textually to the codices 139, 371, 449, 597, 1235, 1340, 2346, 2603, and 2728.
History
The manuscript once belonged to Presbyter Nicholas.[2] It was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by Scholz (1794-1852).[4]
The manuscript is currently housed at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Gr. 113) at Paris.[1]
