Lectionary 7, designated by the siglum ℓ 7 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament written on parchment. It is a lectionary containing Gospel readings (Evangelistarion) and is dated by a colophon to the year 1204.<ref name = Aland>K. Aland, M. Welte, B. Köster, K. Junack, Kurzgefasste Liste der griechischen Handschriften des Neues Testaments, (Berlin, New York: Walter de Gruyter, 1994), p. 219.</ref>
Description
The codex contains lessons from the Gospels arranged according to the liturgical calendar, with some lacunae. The manuscript is written in Greek minuscule letters on 316 parchment leaves measuring , with two columns per page and 23 lines per page.<ref name = Aland/>

The text of the manuscript is representative of the Byzantine text-type, which forms the basis of the traditional Textus Receptus and the Greek text underlying the King James Version.
History
The manuscript was written by the priest Georg Rhodiu, possibly from Rhodes.<ref name = Gregory/>
It once belonged to the Colbert collection along with ℓ 8, ℓ 9, ℓ 10, ℓ 11, and ℓ 12.
The manuscript was examined and described by Montfaucon, Wettstein, Scholz,<ref name = Scrivener>F. H. A. Scrivener, A Plain Introduction to the Criticism of the New Testament (George Bell & Sons: London 1861), p. 212.</ref> and Paulin Martin.<ref>Jean-Pierre-Paul Martin, Description technique des manuscrits grecs, relatif au Nouveau Testament, conservé dans les bibliothèques des Paris (Paris, 1883), p. 138.</ref>

Significance
Lectionary 7 is one of the earlier dated Greek Gospel lectionaries and provides evidence for the continued transmission of the Byzantine text tradition during the medieval period. As with many Greek lectionaries, its readings frequently align with the traditional Greek text underlying the Textus Receptus.
The manuscript is also important for the study of medieval Greek liturgical practice because of its musical notation and structured ecclesiastical readings.
